Well, Heather and Chris are exhausted! After a long day of poking and prodding, it's finally time to relax. Heather is hooked up to an iv and there is a baby monitor on her belly, keeping tracking of BK's heartrate and Heather's contractions. Although she's not at at full term (but close, at 36 weeks or so, depending on who's counting), she's having practice contractions (Braxton-Hicks).
The resident who's here for the night came in and did another biophysical and scored BK at an 8 out of 10, which is pretty good. The last one was earlier today and they gave BK a 4 out of 8 ealier today. Sunday was 8 out of 10, and I think Friday was 8 out of 8.
Biophysical profiles are based on a number of factors that are sometimes less than accurate, and in some ways subjective, so fluctuations are fine. Ideally, Baby K would be 8/8 or 10/10 every time, but close is pretty good for now.
Tomorrow morning can't come quickly enough in many ways. We can't wait to meet our baby.
Thanks again to everyone for your love and support.
